12 Days and 12 Charities come together to help boost the festive cheer and use your social media influence about their charities this Christmas.

With fundraisers having reporting a major decline in donations this year the team at connector360 and SocialMedia.ie are inviting you to help lead the movement for a really important campaign. Christmas is a time of joy and happiness, or so says all of the ads that started in October (Yikes!), but let’s not forget that Christmas can also be a hard time for so many.  We want to give a helping hand. Will you join us and use your social media influence this Christmas.

“connector360 like to be creative and use social media for social good. The #12days Christmas Charity Digital Donations App was conceived as a way to help hard pressed charities raise their profile and raise some funds” said Conor Lynch CEO Connecto360.

We are a marketing agency that is on a quest to give a little back this holiday season and we’re calling on the Irish online community to help us out. We are starting a digital donations campaign and are asking Facebook and Twitter etc. users to donate their online influence to help spread the important messages of various Irish charities over the 12 days leading up to Christmas.

So how can you help us? With your influence of course! Just allows our #12days App to post 1 message a day for 12 days and support 12 charities!  Our ultimate goal is to raise badly needed funds for these charities so please give some cash too if you can!

Charities we are supporting are all worthy of support and are the Irish Youth Foundation, Irish Cancer Society, UNICEF, Goal, Barnardos, Jack & Jill Foundation, WALK, ARC Cancer Support Centre, Gay Switchboard, Irish Kidney Association, PAWS and Console.

GOAL is always looking at new and innovative ways to connect with our supporters. The #12days of Christmas App brings charities together; allowing them to help one another at Christmas said Alan Rowlette Goal

Director of Services Tony Cooney said “By adapting and expanding the way we offer support, Gay Switchboard is able to reach out to meet the needs of the LGBT community and with #12days of Christmas App we are reaching beyond this and helping other charities like ourselves”.

“Barnardos is delighted to be part of the 12 Days of Christmas App. We would encourage our supporters and members of the public to get behind this initiative and digitally donate over the 12 days.  This Christmas all over Ireland, Barnardos is helping to change children’s lives. We hope to raise awareness and much needed funds for our work with vulnerable children and their families” said Orla Tighe Fundraising Manager Barnardos.

Matt Lewis from the Irish Cancer Society said “The Irish Cancer Society is delighted to be part of the 12 Days of Christmas campaign. It’s an innovative idea and we hope that it is a huge success. The Irish Cancer Society is Ireland’s national cancer charity – now in our 50th year – we are working harder than ever to achieve our mission, A Future without Cancer. We are working towards this goal through our work; funding research; advocating for cancer patients; and providing free, nationwide cancer services to those with and affected by cancer.”

Wishing you a Merry Christmas from all our charities taking part and the Team at Connect360

The End.
